MUSTACHES & MUSKETS

Two big days in our house!

Last night LEGENDS & LIES: The Real West premiered last night on The FOX News Channel with guns blazing! Literally! The explosive premiere episode, Jesse James:Bloody Politics was followed by Doc Holliday:Desperate Measures

Judging from the production values of these first two episodes, in a series of ten, I couldn't be more excited for my two episodes.

Both Jesse James and Doc Holliday were beautifully shot.
Sweeping landscapes and dusty trails asides, what makes any show or movie worth watching is the people on screen...the actors...both principal and background.

It's exciting to see people you've worked with on other projects step out into the spotlight as principal players. I have no doubt all my friends who appeared in the premiere episode were thrilled to see themselves but how good the show was and how good they looked!

It's what we actors do.
It's the questions we ask (although some may never admit they actually do)

How did I look?
Were my scenes cut?
How did I look?
Seriously...
HOW DID I LOOK?

All in all I have a feeling the series is going to do very well. It's well acted, deftly crafted and gorgeously filmed.

I'm excited about my upcoming episodes. In particular I'm excited about Episode 8 George Custer: A General's Reckoning. Yes. Exactly for the reason you're thinking. I'm in the episode. I'll admit. Nothing wrong about being proud and excited. It's not like I'm taking billboards out to promote myself. Do you know how expensive those things are? Holy cow!

I'm excited to see, after watching the episodes last night, how my scenes came out after the post-production wizards edited the raw footage.

I know, based on the material and the person I portrayed, I can't be edited completely out of the show. I have to ask though. Did they CGI me out and replace me with a ficus plant? Did they have someone dub my voice? Is Andy Serkis going to be up there instead of me?

And of course...most importantly...

How did I look?
Were my scenes cut?
How did I look?
Seriously...
HOW DID I LOOK?

Just keeping it reel.

  1. I'll let you know how you look as soon as it premieres on Netflix. That's the only thing we watch any more. Other than the news. Antenna TV. None of that namby-pamby "5 million channels and nothing on" cable stuff for us!

But we know you look good. You always have.

Of course, due to the subject matter of the episode in which you appear, I'm wondering if you might not look so good by the end of it...
