If you have talent oozing out of every pore of your body, and you want to be smug, then have it. I tip my hat to you Sir of Madam. If you have the chops and want to be a prick, who can say anything to you?

 If you don't have the skills to back up your posturing, however, check yourself before you wreck yourself. 
I might be wrong, but it might have been Eleanor Roosevelt who said that.

Let me just say from the start of this post  this is not a review of the 2014 film Birdman: Or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu and starring Michael Keaton.  It's not a review. Watch it or don't. Totally up to you. My silly little blog couldn't possibly persuade you one way or the other.  I guess what has my brain racing and my emotions a little tweaked is the theme of Birdman, which, in my opinion, is the struggle to find and keep oneself in a business that is so good at helping you lose yourself.  Birdman is definitely a commentary on show business, more specifically the trend of raising actors to a level of almost God-like status because they played characters who had been raised to the level of almost God-like status. Legends & Lies: The Real West

Production has wrapped.   Post-production continues.  Nothing will stop the Sunday, April 12th premiere of Legends & Lies on The Fox News Channel. Whether " Into the West " or " The Real Wes t" is the subtitle still remains unclear.  Who pays attention to subtitles though? Seriously.  Do you remember the James Cameron blockbuster Titanic had the subtitle " Love On The Rocks ?"  Steel Magnolias  had the subtitle " The Reckoning ?" Of course you don't!  Regardless if we're heading into the west or the real west , this mini-series was an epic undertaking which took 62 days to shoot in 4 different states. Produced by Warm Spring Productions and shot by LionHeart FilmWorks the filming of Legends & Lies was an epic undertaking. Every little boy wants to be a cowboy at one time or another. It's expensive following your dreams.  Timing might get you an opportunity. Talent might get you in the door.  Luck might get the shot.  Money, though, money is what keeps it going.  There's a lot of expense to being an actor.  It's true you have to spend it to make it, but when you don't have it, what are the chances you are going to make it? PROFESSIONAL HEAD SHOTS. ka-CHING! CASTING WEBSITE SUBSCRIPTIONS ka-CHING! OTHER PROFESSIONAL WEBSITES ka-CHING! WORKSHOPS AND CLASSES ka-CHING! TRAVEL ka-CHING! CLOTHES ka-CHING! AGENTS AND/OR MANAGERS ka-CHING! GYM MEMBERSHIPS ka-CHING! THERAPY ka-CHING! ka-CHING! Therapy is expensive! I don't know what to do.  This is just crazy.  How do you base following your dreams on your financial situation? And yet...there it is.
