Rolling. Rolling.
October 28, 2014
it's been a good long while since I've written anything here, ten months, give or take a day or two, mostly because of technical issues. Mainly because I didn't have a laptop and trying to write on a an I-phone, no matter how amazing they are, is a just too frustrating.
I have fat fingers. Okay. There! I said it! I have fat fingers.
Typing with fat fingers is like trying to...well...type with fat fingers.
I've also neglected my blog because I've been been working. Actually working! I know. Right? That's a good thing.
I have had some pretty amazing experiences and continue to learn about this crazy business, and myself, every single time I step onto and off of set.
Since I've last written I have:
~Wrapped on Season 1 of AMC's TURN. Which is now being called TURN: Washington's Spies. I worked seven episodes as a background artist.
Side-note: I'm assuming the name change occurred because the majority of the American public were confused by the single word title. 'TURN.' I would think after the first episode aired and it was revealed the show wasn't set in a driving school it would have been obvious. Oh well.
~Worked several more episodes as a background artist on Netflix's HOUSE OF CARDS. In one Season 3 episode I was cast as featured background artist and was right behind Kevin Spacey. Watching Spacey work is a privilege and an honor. It's like acting school. I eat up every second with a spoon.
~Shot a PSA for lightning.org in which I played a fireman. To date, this is the piece, which as appeared on several major networks as a 30 second spot, in which people have seen and recognized me the most.

~Performed in and helped write an award-winning short film for the Rchmond 48 Hour Film Project. I'll let it speak for itself.
Suffice to say, it is always an hour working with the talented final.revised.
I also had the chance to work with, in addition to actors Rae Steuber and Lauren Underwood, my real life wife, Fawn.

~Grown my hair out. Considering I live in Virginia and a great deal of period pieces are shot here, it behooved me to have longer hair. I have never had such long hair. It's been a challenge getting used to it. I'm buying way more product than I used to.
~Portrayed Sam Adams in a docu-series for The Military Channel. The series was shot by LionHeart Filmworks of Richmond, Virginia. i don't have links. The series is still in post-production.
~Worked as a background artist and stand-in for The AMAZON Prime series POINT OF HONOR, a civil war-era drama about a Virginia family torn apart by The Civil War. The series was written and directed by OSCAR-winning writer/director Randall Wallace. The series is still in post-production. I was a stand-in for actor Brett Cullen. This was an amazing experience. I have high hopes for this project.
~Created a TWITTER account. I'm on Twitter. I'm tweeting. I hate that I have to say I'm 'tweeting.' It's a little weird. I feel like I should be sitting in a cage being stalked by a putty cat. Anyway... I'm on Twitter. Follow me. Won't you?
Nothing Like The Present...
Well, there's frost on the pumpkin which means Fall has come to Virginia and there are several productions in town.
TURN: Washington's Spies has started shooting. The production will apparently continue through February.
i am currently shooting a docu-series for FOX called LEGENDS & LIES: Into The West with LionHeart Filmworks. I have a featured role. I can't say more than that really.
I am going to try and keep up with this blog a little better than I have over the past year.
For now...
I'm going to keep working on getting work.
