You Know They Say About A Guy With Big Feet
Hello. My name is J.e. and I've played a Sasquatch.
When people discover I've played the mythical creature, two questions usually come to their minds
Usually the first question is:
How did you land the role of Bigfoot?
The answer is actually quite simple. The director and producer looked at me and said 'You'd be a perfect Sasquatch.'
As an actor you think to yourself "Yes! I got the part! I've got a job! They love me! I'm actually perfect for the role!"
And then...it sinks in...
"You got the part! You've got a job! They love you! You're perfect for the role! And...you might in some way shape or form resemble an eight foot tall hairy monster."
As an actor, you shouldn't go to such dark places.
Unless a director tells you to do so.
People then ask:
How do you prepare for the role of Bigfoot?
Well, you stop shaving for one. All over! Just let it grow...let it grow.
You also have to practice being stealthy in the woods and being blurry in photos.
There's really no reference material for when you want to research how to portray a Sasquatch. There are no interviews on YouTube to study speech patterns and physical characteristics. Essentially, you can create whatever kind of Sasquatch you want to create.
What? You think you're going to get a call from the NSA (National Sasquatch Association) telling you your portrayal of Bigfoot was completely wrong and they want you to cease and desist immediately? Is an actual Bigfoot going to call you and ask where you got off portraying him in the manner in which you did?
Doubtful. It's been a few years and there have been no subpoenas or knocks on the door. So either I got it right or there are no real Bigfoots...Bigfeet? Sasquatchi? Who knows?
The point is no one complained.
Well, one person complained but no one really cares. It's a long sad story. I'm sorry I brought it up actually. Happy thoughts. Happy Thoughts!
Here look at this and forget the last paragraph happened:
The character above was created for the short film Foot Patrol. Foot Patrol was created by the team final.revised for the 2012 Richmond 48 Hour Film Project.
Foot Patrol won several awards:

I'm very proud of my work on Foot Patrol as I am with all of my work with final.revised. They are a talented team of writers, artists and actors who all come together and work incredibly hard to create something people will enjoy and satisfy their own sensibilities and vision.
I didn't know so many actors have played Bigfoot. Imagine my surprise when I looked it up Actors Who've Played Bigfoot in Movies on GOOGLE. There's actually a list!
Andre the Giant

Andre the Giant and Kevin Peter Hal are probably the two most famous actors who have played Bigfoots...Bigfeet? Damn. There has to be a better way to say that!
Andre the Giant appeared as Bigfoot in 1976's The Secret of Bigfoot, an episode of the 6 Million Dollar Man and Hall was cast as a Sasquatch in 1987's Harry and the Hendersons.
There is one more actor who is probably more famous than either of the latter though. I'm speaking, of course, of the original of original Bigfoot actors Roger Patterson, who supposedly shot film footage of an actual Bigfoot on October 20, 1967.

Patterson's family has since revealed the now classic footage was a fake.
(Collective gasp)
The Sasquatch seen in the grainy film, commonly referred to as The Patterson-Gimlin (No! Not Gimli! That's a dwarf in those Lord of the Ring films) Film was actually Patterson in a modified gorilla suit.

I find myself in a small but distinguished club. Not just anybody can strap on huge shoes and rock the full length fur coat that is their body hair. Well, except for maybe one of those Kardashian girls.
Just keeping it reel.

I can see now why the sasquatch is the last of his kind. He's spreading his seed all over the forest instead of focusing on the females.
